Questions Answered
How long does training take?  Training follows the USPPA PPG1, 2, and 3 training syllabi.  Time to complete the required tasks for the ratings varies depending on the pilots athletic ability, weather, scheduling, ect.  The USPPA suggests that 1-3 days to solo (PPG1) and 5-8 days to safely fly on your own (PPG2) is reasonable. Experienced paraglider pilots will be able to complete paramotor training in less time.

What will the total cost be including new gear and training?  Just like other personal power toys you can expect to spend from $3,500 for a used unit up to $10,000 for a top of the line unit with all the goodies.  The biggest difference between paramotoring and other personal power toys is that you will need to invest a significant amount of time, energy and money into becoming properly trained to safely fly a paramotor.    Check out this "FREE TRAINING" article to learn more.

How do I get started?  Give me a call and come try you hand at "flying the wing" with out ever leaving the ground.  Kiting, or inflating the paraglider and keeping it over your head, is the first step to learning to paramotor or paraglide and it is lots of fun in its own right.  Introductory lessons are only $35 and you will have a blast flying the "big kite" even if you decide not to take up paramotoring.
